Humble beginnings
When Kenneth Ray “Chief” Castro retired from the Phone Company he knew he was going to need something to keep himself busy. At this time, worker safety was a novel concept, but the need for it was obvious.
So Chief bought one hundred barricades. They were delivered on a Friday and they were on rent the very next day.
That is the beginning of KRC. Our growth has been slow and intentional — the goal has always been to provide excellent service. We like that our customers know who we are and know what we do.
Gary Castro, son of “Chief”, is the current owner of KRC and took over in 1984. Gary prides himself on being someone that people can rely on, and that effort shows through all facets of our business.
